As women we have been so busy focusing on the
needs of others that our own growth and passions have been submerged. We need time to explore our self-development, our relationships,
and how to bring balance to our lives.
At the Women's Work Retreat women from all walks of life are invited
to explore mindfulness and creativity as tools for deepening inner wisdom and enhancing relationships. In the company of other
women, participants will explore mindfulness practices such as yoga, dreamwork and the creation of mandalas.
The
Women's Work Retreat will be held in the beautiful North Carolina mountains area of Highlands. Meals and snacks will be
vegetarian and will use local and organic produce. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions.
Bring your
best friend, your mother, your sister or come alone and discover a new circle of women. It will be a time to join together
in a mindful exploration of ourselves, our creativity, and our relationships as we search for balance in our lives.
Therapists who attend will learn experientially how to apply these ideas in both their professional and personal lives.
The Schedule:
Friday
evening - arrive at the retreat house to settle in. Dinner on your own at a local restaurant. Return at 6.30pm for
dessert, to meet the rest of the participants, and for orientation to the weekend. End the evening with deep relaxation.
Saturday - start the day with yoga. Then continue the experience with dream work and creating Mandalas.
The evening will end with a community dinner.
Sunday - begin again with yoga and continue with
Dream Gathering. After lunch participate in an ending ritual before departure at 3.30pm.
