Accommodation in France

Sous Carelles - Carole and Derek Askew
This 17th century farmhouse is the venue for the Retreat, where Carole and Derek also offer B&B. There are two en-suite bedrooms with double beds, and one room with twin beds and a shared bathroom. All are furnished with antique French furniture. Carole and Derek escaped the rat-race in England to start a new life in France. Sous-Carelles is their passion, and they offer a very warm welcome. Derek is a former award winning chef and he prepares meals with local fresh ingredients, many of them from his own garden. Great evening meals with wine can be requested. Contact Carole and Derek via their website at
www.sous-carelles.co.uk.

The Hotel de Bretagne in Gorron
This small hotel has six double rooms, each with its own bathroom, TV and wi-fi connection. There is a bar downstairs, and you are in walking distance of everything the pleasant town of Gorron has to offer, which includes a chocolate shop, bakers, a supermarket, a variety of coffee shops and restaurants, a tourist office, a post office, banks and a park built on the river. The hotel website is in French, but they do claim to speak English if you contact them! Gorron is about a 10 minute drive from our venue at Sous Carelles.
